Concentrating on family litigation, negotiation, and mediation services, Paul
McInnis serves the Toronto community as a Partner at McInnis & Nicoll. Mr.
McInnis has been practicing law since he was called to the Bar of Ontario in
1979. Outside of his duties as partner at his firm, Paul McInnis is an avid
supporter of continuing legal education (CLE). He has been a presenter at a
number of different CLE events, predominantly speaking on his concentration of
family law.


Paul McInnis has spoken on Conduct of a Family Law Trial, 6 Minute Family Law
Lawyer Program, Advanced Drafting for Lawyers, and Conduct of a Divorce File. In
addition, Mr. McInnis has served as Chair and Co-Chair for such CLE events as
the Annual Family Law Summit, Marriage Contracts, and Creating Enforceable
Agreements, and in partnership with The Advocates’ Society, he was the Chair of
Conduct of a Family Law Trial. On top of his responsibilities with continuing
legal education, Paul McInnis is a member of The Advocates’ Society.
Additionally, as a member of both The Canadian Bar Association and the American
Bar Association, Paul McInnis presented at the American Bar Association Annual
Meeting on Comparative U.S./Canada Analysis Re: Pension Division on Marriage
Breakdown.


Prior to providing family law services at McInnis & Nicoll, Paul McInnis
completed a Family Law Mediation Certification with CDR Associates of Boulder,
Colorado. Since 1996, he has been a Dispute Resolution Officer in the Family Law
Division of the Superior Court of Justice.
